What's your super power?

I have fears, but I have no fear when I stand up for what is right -   I believe I can help others and I am going to be the one who stands up for equality,  justice and fairness - this is and always has been very important to me. I have lots of ideas and lots of creativity to want to make things happen - I am motivated and want to make a difference.

What makes you happy?

Connecting with people, meeting people (even over Zoom). Listening to music, especially songs I can sing along to, my favourite song of all time is Bohemian Rhapsody - it's such a fantastic song, I love listening to it. This year even though it has been difficult I have learned a lot - we have shown that we can find ways to make things happen - I've had time to learn and think about who I am and what I am becoming, I now know what I want to do and this has given me so much confidence - the vulnerable and people with learning disabilities are overlooked and this needs to change - I want to campaign and make things equal for us all. WATCH this space!

What do you love about Christmas?

The best thing about Christmas is having family come to your house and being with people you love - and the presents of course! 🙂

What's your superpower?

My talent is painting, drawing and being creative. I am a caring person, kind and thoughtful, and I am developing lots of new skills. I'm looking  forward to getting a job in the future.

What makes you happy?

Coming to the internship with Growing Happy and going to the cafe  - it's fun and I am learning lots of new things. I enjoy every day. I enjoy seeing my friends, they are important to me.

What's your wellbeing tip?

I would say try and listen to relaxing music and doing mindfulness -  I have found this really helpful - try to enjoy life!  🙂

Meet Liam

What's your superpower?

It's definitely lighting up the room with my super smile. I always try hard and am interested in learning. I like to be in a team and I'm always willing to give things a go... I can also make a great cup of tea for Cathy (my Mum!)

What makes me happy?

Sunny weather, talking to Chloe, being with my friends and the ones I love. Also, chocolate, sausages and being on the supported internship.

What's your wellbeing tip?

Dancing to my favourite song Mamma Mia, listening to Christmas songs and playing golf.

Meet Bradley

What is the best thing about Christmas?

It's having your friends and family together - talking and spending time together - its just really nice, calm and special.

What's your superpower?

My talent is that I'm becoming a really good cook, I work hard and get things done - I want to learn more, so I can get better at cooking and maybe become a chef one day.

What makes you happy?

Being myself - being nice to people, helpful and kind - and being with my friends - I love to help my Nan at home.

Meet Jack

What's your superpower?

My greatest talent is making things from wood - I am a creative person and I love to make people feel happy.

What makes you happy?

I make myself happy 🙂. Being on the supported internship makes me happy. I am working with help and support, and with a good team. My family, friends and Aimee also make me feel happy.

What's your wellbeing tip?

My number one tip is listening to music that you like, I love pop music and action songs that I can dance and move to - being active is good for wellbeing

How it all began!

During lockdown we joined forces with students and job coaches from Sandfield Park School, Liverpool City Council's  Intern to Work programme and MORETHAN7 to co-design a project to tackle loneliness and isolation for vulnerable and isolated individuals across the city.

Take a look at how things turned out...

All profits go into the development of the team's skills and their sustainable social enterprises starting in January.
